Abbeywood Estate is one of my favourite Cheshire wedding venues to shoot at. Abbeywood is a 45 Acre estate nestling in the Delamere Countryside, right in the heart of Cheshire. It’s the ideal setting for a wedding ceremony, with elegant rooms and beautiful grounds, and it lends itself perfectly to wedding photography.
As a wedding photographer in Cheshire, you really can’t ask for a better setting to create spectacular photographs. Abbeywood Estate provides a really versatile space for weddings both indoors and out, with wonderful areas to entertain or relax in, as well as stunning gardens for a perfect backdrop to your day.
Wedding photography at Abbeywood Estate, Cheshire
Something I love about shooting weddings at Abbeywood is that there are so many different spaces available for guests to choose from, with several beautiful rooms which can be used for the service, wedding breakfast and evening party.
The spacious Glasshouse seats up to 190+ guests and can be easily adapted to suit any style of wedding. Ideal for Civil Ceremonies and Wedding Breakfasts, the Glasshouse is elegant, light and airy (perfect for me as a wedding photographer!), and is linked by a glass walkway to the Orangery.
The Orangery at Abbeywood is the ideal all-weather setting for welcome drinks and canapes, and is also licensed for civil ceremonies, with a capacity of 70 guests. It also makes a lovely backdrop for wedding photography as it is situated in the Exotic Gardens.
There is also a picturesque gazebo within the Exotic Garden which makes the ideal location for an outdoor ceremony. I’ve been lucky enough to be the wedding photographer at outdoor ceremonies at Abbeywood, and the gazebo really is the perfect backdrop for stand-out wedding photography.
Creative wedding photography in Cheshire
Abbeywood Estate is the ideal Cheshire venue if you’re looking for opportunities to get creative with your wedding photography. For example, this venue looks particularly spectacular in aerial shots, which means it’s the perfect venue for drone wedding photography!
There’s also the opportunity to get creative with group shots by incorporating smoke bombs and flares, which looked brilliant in the early evening light at this beautiful Cheshire venue.
