Knowsley Hall is a stunning country wedding venue in Cheshire, perfectly located near to Manchester and Liverpool. Set in over 2,500 acres of historic parkland, Knowsley Hall has welcomed royalty and distinguished visitors since it originally opened its doors in 1495.
Knowsley is one of the most luxurious country wedding venues in the Cheshire area, and always a pleasure to shoot at. The Hall boasts several stunning function rooms and breathtaking gardens, making it ideal for wedding photography.

Knowsley Hall is the perfect wedding venue whatever the size of your celebration. This venue lends itself equally as well to smaller, intimate weddings for 60 guests or a larger celebration of up to 132 guests.
There is a selection of beautiful rooms that couples can choose to use for their celebrations, and I’ve been lucky enough to capture some gorgeous wedding photography throughout the venue. One of my favourite rooms to shoot in is the romantic Stucco Ballroom with its beautiful gold-encrusted details. Another magnificent space is the State Dining Room which is ideal for a wedding breakfast.
Another of my favourite features at this Cheshire venue is the stunning grounds. Knowsley Hall is surrounded by manicured gardens and lakes, and couples can enjoy access to a private terrace which offers views across the grounds.

Wedding photography for every season
Knowsley Hall, Cheshire offers quite an unusual approach to wedding packages: they have created four seasonal all-inclusive wedding packages for couples to choose from depending on whether they would prefer a Summer, Winter or Christmas wedding. As a wedding photographer this is ideal for me, as it means I get to attend weddings throughout the year and capture lots of different and unique shots.
In Summer, the Hall’s manicured gardens and terrace really come into their own: the views over the fountain and lake make a truly magical and romantic setting for summer wedding photography.
For Spring and Autumn weddings, Knowsley Hall is the perfect Cheshire venue, boasting roaring open fires, candles, and sumptuous interiors. During the colder months the fires are lit in the beautiful Walnut Drawing Room and the The State Dining Room. This Cheshire venue really lends itself to some amazing backdrops for wedding photography, whether that be by the grand staircase or next to the beautiful marble fireplaces throughout the house.
If you’re planning a Winter wedding, Knowsley Hall offers endless photograph opportunities to capture on your special day, such as gliding down the grand staircase. The Stucco Ballroom also becomes even more romantic in Winter, with its stunning gold encrusted detail on the ceiling and walls and the twinkling of candles glistening in the background.
And for couples choosing to get married over the Christmas period, Knowsley’s Festive wedding package guarantees a magical setting. Think beautiful decorations, Christmas trees throughout the Hall, and the huge fireplaces are draped with festive garlands and twinkling fairy lights.
